Course Description
Examines comprehensive appellate procedure (for both appellants and respondents) in the Court of Appeal for British Columbia, including jurisdiction, filings, Court of Appeal Rules and forms. Topics include Leave to Appeal and Right to Appeal applications, Notice of Motion, required supporting material, and appellate Bill of Costs. Recommended for all students in the litigation practice area. Prerequisites: Litigation for Paralegals 1 (LEGL 1301), Litigation for Paralegals 2 (LEGL 1302), and legal administrative work experience or formal admission to the paralegal program.Prerequisites
