VCC Alumni win awards at Vancouver Fashion Week

Presented by her long-time styling clients, Tegan and Sara, Toyo, who has styled for Elle and Harper's Bazaar magazines and shot campaigns for Nike, Cover Girl and Aldo, graduated from VCC in 2003. Before her styling took her overseas, Toyo taught in both our Design and Fashion Merchandising programs. 

This isn't the first time Allison (pictured right) has won an award from Vancouver Fashion Week. In 2025 she received the Nancy Mak Award which sent her to London Fashion Week to showcase her collection.  Allison graduated from the Fashion Design & Production program in 2023 and is now on our roster of instructors, teaching both Fashion History and Pattern Making 1 in the design program and the new non-credit Intro to Machine Knitting and Design.
