Course Description

Bring a soft goods product idea to life in a supportive 6-session studio course. You’ll move through a guided development process: ideation and design, materials and construction decisions, prototype builds, iterative refinement through feedback cycles, and a clear plan for next steps (sampling, costing considerations, production readiness, and timelines). The course is designed for a range of starting points: you can arrive with a well-developed idea that needs refinement and momentum, or you can come with the desire to create products and use the structure to get started. Along the way, you’ll receive support on branding fundamentals and practical ways to test the market if selling is a goal. Expect community-building throughout—small peer support circles, structured critique, and guest speakers who share real-world insights. Dedicated in-class time and access to facilities will support hands-on prototyping and making progress between sessions.
